The face height must not fall below 32 mm.
The face must be positioned in the center of the photograph.
Focus and Contrast
The face must appear sharply focused in all areas, with clear detail and no blur.
The image should have sufficient contrast so that all facial features are easily recognizable.
Lighting
The face must be evenly illuminated, without harsh shadows, bright reflections, or red-eye.
The lighting must make all features clearly visible and undistorted.
Background
The background must be one solid bright color, preferably a neutral grey.
It must provide enough contrast with the face and hair.
It cannot contain patterns, shadows, objects, or other people.
Photo Quality
The photo must be printed on high-quality photo paper with a resolution of at least 600 dpi, particularly for digital prints.
Colors must stay balanced, and skin tones must look natural.
The image must not show creases, stains, or any other imperfections.
Head Position and Expression
The head must be upright, not tilted or turned, and the picture must be taken in portrait orientation.
The person must maintain a neutral expression, with the mouth closed and the eyes directed straight at the camera.
Eyes and Line of Sight
The eyes must be open, fully visible, and not blocked by hair or glasses frames.
The subject must face the camera directly so that the line of sight is straight.
Glasses
If glasses are worn, the eyes must remain fully visible.
Reflections on lenses, tinted glasses, or sunglasses are not acceptable.
Frames must not cover any part of the eyes.
Headwear
Head coverings are not allowed, except for religious purposes. Even in those cases, the entire face from the chin to the forehead must remain uncovered.
