Size and Format

  • The printed photo must measure 35 mm in width and 45 mm in height.
  • The digital photo must be 826 × 1062 pixels with a resolution of 600 DPI
  • The file format must be JPEG, and the paper type must be matte. 
  • The photo must be suitable for both printing and online submission.

General Conditions

  • The photo must be taken within the last six months and must be in color. 
  • It must be clear, sharp, and in focus, without ink marks, creases, or digital alterations.
  •  It must be professionally printed or taken in a passport photo booth. 
  • The background must be plain and light-colored.

Pose and Expression

  • The subject must face forward, looking straight at the camera, with the full head visible. The face must not be tilted, and both edges of the face must be shown. 
  • The subject must have a neutral expression with the mouth closed. 
  • The eyes must be open, fully visible, and not covered by hair or the frames of spectacles.

Style and Lighting

  • The photograph must have appropriate brightness and contrast and be color neutral. 
  • The subject must face squarely at the camera and not be shown in portrait style or looking over one shoulder. 
  • Both edges of the face must be clearly visible. 
  • The photo must be taken with uniform lighting that does not create shadows or flash reflections on the face, and it must not show red eye.

Glasses

  • If the subject wears glasses, the photograph must show the eyes clearly with no flash reflection on the lenses. 
  • Tinted lenses and sunglasses are not permitted. 
  • The frames must not cover any part of the eyes, and lighter frames are preferred over heavy ones.

Head Coverings

  • Head coverings are not permitted except for religious or medical reasons. 
  • When worn, the facial features from the bottom of the chin to the top of the forehead and both edges of the face must be clearly visible.
