Photo Size and Quality
The photo must be recent, sharp, clear, and high quality.
It should be free from stains, marks, folds, or creases.
Face Framing
The applicant’s face, head, and upper shoulders must be clearly shown.
The face should cover approximately 70–80% of the photo, and the applicant should look straight at the camera.
Facial Expression
The applicant must keep a neutral expression, with eyes open and mouth closed.
The eyes should be clearly visible.
Lighting and Background
The photo should show natural skin tone with suitable brightness and contrast.
Lighting must be even, with no shadows, glare, red-eye, or flash reflection.
The background should be plain, light-coloured, and free from patterns or objects.
Hair and Eye Visibility
Hair must not cover the eyes, and both eyes should be fully visible.
Glasses
Glasses may be worn only if the eyes can be seen clearly.
Tinted lenses, lens glare, or frames covering the eyes are not acceptable.
Head Coverings
Head coverings are only allowed for religious reasons.
The full face must remain visible from the chin to the forehead, including both sides of the face.
