Photo Size and Quality
The photo should be recent, clear, sharply focused, and high quality.
It must not contain any stains, marks, folds, or creases.
Face Framing
The photo should clearly show the applicant’s face, head, and upper shoulders.
The face should occupy around 70–80% of the photo, and the applicant must face the camera directly.
Facial Expression
The applicant should have a neutral facial expression, with the mouth closed and eyes open.
The eyes must be clearly visible.
Lighting and Background
The photo should have natural skin tone, appropriate brightness, and good contrast.
Lighting should be even, with no shadows, glare, flash reflection, or red-eye.
The background should be plain, light-coloured, and free from patterns or objects.
Hair and Eye Visibility
Hair must not cover the eyes.
Both eyes should be fully visible.
Glasses
Glasses are acceptable only when the eyes are clearly visible.
Tinted lenses, glare on the lenses, or frames covering the eyes are not allowed.
Head Coverings
Head coverings are not allowed unless worn for religious reasons.
The full face must be visible from the chin to the forehead, including both sides of the face.
Other People or Objects
Only the applicant may appear in the photo. No other people, chair backs, toys, or objects should be visible.
