Background
The photo must have a plain, pure white background with no shadows.
Face and Expression
The applicant must face the camera directly with a neutral expression.
The mouth must be closed, and the applicant must not smile.
Head Position and Framing
The applicant’s head must be centered in the photo.
The image must show the head and shoulders, and the head must take up 70–80% of the photo’s vertical space, measured from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head.
Head Coverings
Head coverings are permitted only for religious reasons.
When worn, they must not cover any facial features from the tip of the chin to the top of the forehead.
Glasses
Glasses should not be worn unless they are required for medical reasons.
If glasses are worn, the lenses must be free from glare or reflection.
Tinted lenses are not allowed.
Lighting and Quality
The photo must be clear, sharply focused, and undamaged.
There must be no ink marks, creases, or damage on either side of the photo.
