Photo Size and Dimensions

  • The photo should measure 26 x 32 mm. The required aspect ratio is 13:16. 
  • The photo must be properly cropped so that the applicant’s face is centered and proportionate within the frame.

Resolution, Format, and File Size

  • The photo should have a resolution of at least 300 DPI. 
  • Digital photos should be saved in JPEG or PNG format. 
  • For online submissions, the file size should be between 10 KB and 100 KB.

Background

  • The background must be plain, white, or light-colored. 
  • It should not contain patterns, shadows, objects, or uneven lighting. A clean background helps ensure that the applicant’s face is clearly visible.

Face Position and Scale

  • The applicant’s face should be centered in the photo and should cover about 70% to 80% of the total photo height. 
  • The head should be straight, the shoulders should be level, and the applicant should look directly at the camera.

Facial Expression

  • The applicant should have a neutral facial expression. 
  • The eyes must be open and visible, and the lips should be closed. Smiling, frowning, or exaggerated expressions should be avoided.

Clothing

  • The applicant should wear suitable clothing for an official document photo. 
  • Uniforms and overly casual clothing are not recommended. 
  • Solid colors that contrast with the background are preferred.

Glasses and Accessories

  • Glasses should be removed unless they are medically necessary. 
  • If glasses are worn, they must not cause reflections or cover the eyes. 
  • Accessories should not hide any part of the face.

Head Coverings

  • Head coverings are allowed for religious or medical reasons. 
  • However, they must not cover or obscure the applicant’s facial features.
