The photograph file must be no larger than 3 MB.
It should be uploaded in PDF, JPG, or PNG format.
Photo Dimensions and Composition
The photograph must show a close-up image of your face and the top of your shoulders.
Your face should occupy approximately 70%–80% of the entire photograph.
Image Quality
The photograph must be in colour and not in black and white.
It should be taken against a plain white or light grey background.
The image must be clear, sharply focused, and properly exposed.
It should display natural skin tones with good colour balance and must not contain red-eye effects.
There should be clear contrast between your facial features and the background.
The photograph must not contain any shadows or glare, either on your face or in the background.
Facial Expression and Posture
You must maintain a neutral facial expression. Avoid squinting, frowning, smiling widely, or displaying exaggerated expressions.
Your eyes should be open, and your mouth should remain closed with a natural, relaxed look.
Your hair must not cover your eyes. Your head should be positioned in the center of the photograph, and you must look directly at the camera with your full face visible.
Your head should not be tilted or turned in any direction.
Head Coverings and Glasses
You should not wear any head coverings or hair accessories, such as hats, caps, or headbands.
Religious headgear that you wear daily is permitted. If worn, it must not cover or obscure any part of your face, and your face must remain fully visible.
You must not wear sunglasses or tinted/coloured glasses.
If you normally wear prescription glasses, they may be worn in the photograph, but your eyes must be clearly visible. If religious headgear is worn, you must submit a letter stating that it is worn daily for religious reasons.
Recency of the Photo
The photograph must have been taken within the past six months.
Paper Quality (For Printed Photos)
If you are submitting printed photographs, they must be printed on high-quality photographic paper.
The paper must not be wrinkled, torn, or creased. The back of each photograph must be plain white and unglazed.
