File Size and Format

• The photograph file must not exceed 3 MB in size. 
• It must be uploaded in one of the following formats: PDF, JPG, or PNG.

Photo Dimensions and Composition

• The image must show a close-up of your face and the top of your shoulders. 
• Your face must occupy 70%–80% of the total photo area. 
• Ensure that there is no white border around the photograph, as this may affect the required dimensions.

Image Quality

• The photograph must be in colour and not black and white. 
• It should be taken against a light grey or plain white background. 
• The image must be in sharp focus and properly exposed. 
• It should have good colour balance with natural skin tones and must not contain red-eye effects. 
• There should be good contrast between your facial features and the background. 
• The photograph must not contain any shadows or glare, either on your face or in the background.

Facial Expression and Posture

• Your facial expression must be neutral. 
• You should not squint, frown, smile broadly, or use any exaggerated expression. 
• Your eyes must remain open, and your mouth must be closed with a natural, relaxed expression. 
• Your hair must not cover your eyes. 
• Your head must be centered in the image, and you must look directly at the camera with your full face visible. 
• Your head must not be tilted or turned in any direction.

Head Coverings and Glasses

• You must not wear head coverings or hair accessories, such as hats, caps, or headbands. 
• If you wear religious headgear on a daily basis, it is permitted in the photograph. However, the headgear must not obscure any part of your face, and your face must remain clearly visible.
• You must not wear sunglasses or tinted/coloured glasses. 

If you normally wear prescription glasses, they may be worn, but your eyes must be clearly visible in the photograph. If you wear religious headgear, you must submit a letter explaining that it is worn daily for religious reasons.

Recency of the Photo

• The photograph must have been taken within the last six months.

Paper Quality (for Printed Photos)

• If submitting printed photographs, they must be printed on high-quality photographic paper. 
• The paper must not be crinkled, torn, or creased. 
• The back side of each photograph must be plain white and unglazed.
