Recency

The background must be plain white and free of any shadows.

You must face the camera directly and keep your head upright without tilting.
The distance from your chin to the top of your hair must be 30 mm.

The photo must be high-resolution and show your face clearly without any edits.
The image must be sharp, with no visible pixels or printer dots.

Accessories
You must not wear accessories that cover your face or reduce the visibility of your facial features.
You must not wear a hat or head covering unless you are required to wear it for medical or religious reasons.
You must not wear jewelry that obscures your face.
You must not wear glasses if they cover your eyes, create glare or shadows, or distort the appearance of your eyes; however, you may wear glasses if they are medically required and they do not interfere with visibility of your eyes and facial features.
You may wear hearing devices or similar articles if you normally use them.
Medical exceptions
If you must wear a hat or glasses for medical reasons, you must provide a doctor’s statement as proof.
