Face the camera directly with a neutral expression. Smiling or showing teeth is not allowed. Your eyes must be open and clearly visible, including pupils and irises. Keep your head upright and do not tilt it.
Stand straight and face the camera head-on.
The distance from the bottom of the chin to the top of the hair must be 33 mm. There must be 4 mm of space between the top of the hair and the upper edge of the photo.
The photo must be in color and of high quality. It should be sharp, well focused, and free from visible pixels, printer marks, or blur. The background must be plain and evenly lit, with no shadows or objects visible. Flash effects that cause red eyes or glare are not acceptable.
Wear regular, everyday clothing. Religious attire is permitted provided it does not cover the face or obscure facial features. Work uniforms should not be worn when taking the photo.
Accessories that obscure the face are not allowed. Hats or head coverings are prohibited unless worn for religious or medical reasons. Jewelry must not cover facial features. Glasses should be removed unless they are medically required and do not cause glare, shadows, or distort the eyes. Hearing aids or similar devices may be worn if normally used.
If a head covering or glasses are required for medical reasons, a doctor’s statement must be provided.
