Format

  • The photo size must be 35mmX45mm.
  • The photo must clearly show the person's facial features from the chin tip to the crown of the head, as well as both sides of the face.
  • The face must occupy 70–80% of the photo, corresponding to a height of 32–36 mm.
  • The face height may not be less than 32 mm.
  • The face must be centered.

Focus and Contrast

  • The face must be sharply focused in all areas, with clear detail and good contrast.

Lighting

  • The face must be evenly lit. Shadows, reflections, or red eyes are not acceptable.

Background

  • The background must be a single bright colour, ideally neutral grey, contrasting with the face and hair.
  • The background must be pattern-free and shadow-free. The photo must show only the person, with no other objects or people included.

Photo Quality

  • The photo must be printed on high-quality paper at a resolution of at least 600 dpi, especially for digital photos.
  •  Colours must be neutral and skin tones natural. 
  • The photo must be free of creases and impurities.

Head Position and Facial Expression

  • The head must be straight, not tilted or turned, in portrait style. 
  • Expression must be neutral, with mouth closed and eyes looking directly into the camera.

Eyes and Line of Sight

  • The person must look directly at the camera. 
  • Eyes must be open, fully visible, and not covered by hair or spectacle frames.

Glasses

  • Eyes must remain clearly visible. 
  • Reflections, tinted lenses, or sunglasses are not allowed. 
  • Frames or edges must not obscure the eyes.

Headwear

  • Headwear is generally not permitted. Exceptions may be allowed for religious reasons, but the entire face from chin to forehead must remain visible. No shadows may fall on the face.
