• The photo must measure 40 by 50 millimeters in portrait orientation. 
• For digital applications, it must be a JPG 
• The photo must be in color.

Background and Lighting

• The background must be plain, light-colored, and evenly lit. 
• The lighting must avoid shadows and glare on the face or background.

Timing

• The photo must be taken within the last six months.

Pose and Expression

• The subject must face the camera directly with a neutral expression and a closed mouth. 
• The head must be centered, and the face must be fully visible from the bottom of the chin to the top of the forehead.

Glasses and Accessories

• Glasses are allowed if the frames do not cover the eyes and there is no glare or reflection. 
• Headwear and headphones are not allowed, except religious headwear permitted under the rules, which must not cast shadows on the face.

Image Quality and Editing

• The photo must be sharp, clear, and have good contrast.
• It must be unedited, with no red-eye or other software alterations.
